In stock, ready to ship
A washed lot from a station serving around 340 smallholders in Kirinyaga, central Kenya. Cherry is delivered the day it is picked, fermented overnight, then washed and soaked before drying on raised beds.
In the cup
Blackcurrant is the note everybody reaches for, and it is the right one. Underneath it there is tomato leaf, a firm acidity and a finish that stays dry rather than sweet.
Brewing
- Filter: 1:16, medium grind, 94C, three minutes total.
- Espresso: possible but demanding. 1:2.5 in 30 seconds, and expect to be sour before you are right.
